How to add websites with Bing Saves

I realize you are for impenetrable reasons retiring collections, the feature I most like about Edge. I've managed to get my collections into Bing--my question is NOT about that.

The question is how to add to collections IN Bing Saves. The directions for Bing cheerfully say to just press the button to save something into Bing. There is no button, either on my search results or on the page I want to save. Where do you hide it?

So far the collections tab still accepts additions. Would it REALLY be that hard to add a button to Edge that saves to Bing Collections???

I do NOT want info on how to save a bookmark in Edge. I want to continue to use the method Collections has of being able to SEE thumbnails of the pages I have saved.

Bing Saves (Bing Collections) is now the place where personal Microsoft account (MSA) users access their existing Edge Collections content. The provided information only states that:

    • Existing Collections for MSA users remain available at Bing Collections at https://bing.com/saves.
    • Starting with Microsoft Edge version 145, adding new items to Collections via Edge is no longer supported.
    • MSA users can still add to Bing Collections from Bing and access saved Collections at https://bing.com/saves.

The context does not describe where the “save” button appears in Bing, how to add new items step-by-step in Bing Saves, or how to surface thumbnails there. It only confirms that additions must now be done from Bing (not from Edge Collections) and that Collections in Edge are being retired.

Because no further details are provided, no additional, specific guidance can be given beyond confirming that:

    • New items can no longer be added to Edge Collections starting with Edge 145.
    • For MSA users, new items must be added from Bing into Bing Collections, and existing items are viewed at https://bing.com/saves.

    Hi there,

Thank you for posting your question here!

Edge Collections is being removed for Microsoft account users and Bing Saves is supposed to replace it but it does not work the same way. For now, there is no way to save normal web pages to Bing Collections with thumbnails. The Save button only shows on Bing images, videos etc. and not on regular search results or on the page itself. Because of this Bing Saves cannot do the main thing Edge Collections did which was saving pages with visible previews. Edge also has no button to save directly to Bing Collections.
