To save Outlook.com / Outlook on the web contacts to a USB drive before changing internet service, export them to a file and then copy that file to the USB drive.

    1. In Outlook.com / Outlook on the web, go to the People page:
      • At the top of the side panel, select the People icon to open People.
    2. On the toolbar, select Manage contacts > Export contacts.
    3. Choose All contacts (or a specific folder if preferred), then select Export.
    4. A .csv file containing the contacts is saved to the computer’s Downloads folder.
    5. Insert the USB drive and open File Explorer.
    6. Go to the Downloads folder and locate the exported .csv file.
    7. Copy the .csv file and paste it onto the USB drive.

This .csv file can later be imported into another email service or Outlook profile using that service’s import function.
