To save Outlook.com / Outlook on the web contacts to a USB drive before changing internet service, export them to a file and then copy that file to the USB drive.
- In Outlook.com / Outlook on the web, go to the People page:
- At the top of the side panel, select the People icon to open People.
- On the toolbar, select Manage contacts > Export contacts.
- Choose All contacts (or a specific folder if preferred), then select Export.
- A .csv file containing the contacts is saved to the computer’s Downloads folder.
- Insert the USB drive and open File Explorer.
- Go to the Downloads folder and locate the exported .csv file.
- Copy the .csv file and paste it onto the USB drive.
This .csv file can later be imported into another email service or Outlook profile using that service’s import function.
