For some time now the navigation pane in file explorer fails to show any information, it is completely blank, it seems to be a bug

I have tried every possible fix for the issue, and tried all the toggle on/off options for showing the navigation pane, it is completely blank.

    I have previously tried both of those options with no success in the change of the navigation pane, I have also just tried them again this morning.

    Hi!

    See if the problem occurs in Safe Mode.

    1. Press the CTRL + R shortcut > Type ''msconfig'' (without quotes) > Click on the ''System Boot'' tab > Check the ''Safe Boot'' option > Click ''OK''.
    2. Restart the computer.

    To exit Safe Mode, access msconfig again (Step 01) > In “General”, check the “Normal Startup” option > Apply > Restart the PC.


    If the problem persists in Safe Mode, see if it also occurs with a new test user.

    1. Go to System Settings (CTRL + I) > Select ''Accounts'' > 'Family and other users'' > ''Add another person to this PC'.
    2. On the Accounts screen, choose the option ''I don’t have that person’s login information' > Then select ''Add a user without a Microsoft account''.
    3. Click on the newly created user > Click "Change account type" > Under Account Type, change the option "Default User" to "Administrator" > Click "OK".
    4. Enter the username, and password (optional, leave blank if you do not want to put password) > Click ''Next'.
    5. Press the shortcut CTRL + ALT + DEL (DELETE) > Select ''Exit'' option > On the Login screen, choose the new user created.
    6. See if the problem will occur with this new user.
