    Hi! Let me help you.

Have you tried restarting the machine?

In case it has been restarted. Please try another port on your laptop.

Use these steps to get wired headphones working again on Windows:

    1. Check physical connection
      • Unplug the headphones and plug them firmly back into the correct audio jack.
      • If available, test the headphones on another device to confirm they work.
    2. Verify Windows sees an audio device
      • Right‑click the speaker icon in the taskbar and open sound settings.
      • Check that an output device is listed. If it shows “No audio device is installed” or nothing appears, the audio driver is likely the issue.
    3. Check audio drivers in Device Manager
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Expand “Sound, video and game controllers”.
      • Make sure an audio device (for example, Realtek audio) is present and shows no warning icon.
      • If missing or with a warning icon, reinstall or update the audio driver from the PC or motherboard manufacturer’s support site.
      • If the problem started after a recent update, try rolling back the audio driver to the previous version.
    4. Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter
      • Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters.
      • Run “Playing Audio” and apply any fixes it suggests.

If no output device appears even after reinstalling the correct audio driver and running the troubleshooter, further hardware diagnostics or manufacturer support may be required.
