Hello, it has been 6 days since my Microsoft subscription refund was processed, but I still haven’t received the money back to my account/card. I canceled the subscription immediately on the same day I received the notification. I also tried emailing Microsoft but got no reply.

How can I properly contact Microsoft support regarding this refund issue?

If it was indicated you were entitled to a refund when you cancelled the subscription, that may take 5 - 10 days for the refund to be processed into your account, if that does not happen within that time period, this forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Refunds for Microsoft subscriptions are generally processed within a few business days after Microsoft issues them, but the actual credit to the bank or card can take a few more days depending on the payment provider.

To check status and then contact support:

    1. Verify refund status
      1. Go to the Microsoft account Order history page: account.microsoft.com/billing/orders.
      2. Find the subscription in the list and check whether a refund is shown.
      3. If a refund is listed but not yet on the bank/card, wait a few more days, as banks can take additional time to post the credit.
    2. If no refund is shown or the delay is excessive
      1. Use the refund guidance for Microsoft subscriptions to confirm eligibility and steps: How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
      2. If still unresolved, contact Microsoft Support directly:
        • Go to the Microsoft Support site (Contact Microsoft Support).
        • Enter a short description such as “subscription refund not received” and select Get Help.
        • When prompted, choose the category for Microsoft 365/Office and Manage my subscription or Billing and payment.
        • Continue until the option appears to Chat with a support agent in your web browser or request a callback.
    3. If support confirms the refund was issued but the bank/card still does not show it after several more days, contact the bank or card issuer with the refund details (date, amount, and merchant “Microsoft”) so they can trace the incoming credit.
