Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Just to confirm, are you signed in on your Mac with the same Microsoft account that owns the Microsoft 365 Family subscription?

Also, when you check https://account.microsoft.com/services, does the subscription appear there under your account?

The most likely cause is that the Microsoft account used to sign in on the Mac is not the same account that actually owns or was shared the Microsoft 365 Family subscription, or the Family sharing invitation has not been accepted.

    Use these checks and fixes:

    1. Confirm the subscription owner and sharing status
      1. The person who pays for Microsoft 365 Family should sign in to the Microsoft account services page and open the Microsoft 365 subscription details.
      2. Under “Share subscription” there is a list of people the subscription is shared with and whether the invitation is accepted or still pending.
      3. If the email address in use on the Mac is not listed, the owner must add it and send a new invitation.
      4. If the invitation is pending, open the invitation email on the Mac, accept it, and complete the setup.
    2. Make sure the correct Microsoft account is used on the Mac
      1. In Word (or any Office app) on the Mac, sign out of all accounts.
      2. Close the app, reopen it, and sign in with the same Microsoft account that appears under the owner’s “Share subscription” list (the account that accepted the Family sharing invite).
    3. Verify that the subscription is visible under the correct account
      1. After signing in with the correct account, go to the Microsoft account dashboard Subscriptions page and confirm that Microsoft 365 Family (shared) appears there.
      2. If it still does not appear, the invitation may not have been accepted correctly; the owner should resend the invitation and it should be accepted again.

If the subscription still does not show after confirming the correct account and accepting the share invitation, contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
