my minecraft account is logged into wrong email.

Hi! I purchased Minecraft about a year ago, and I have my Order ID / receipt ready. However, when I try to log in using my email, the system automatically creates a brand new, empty Xbox profile named 'PII removed' instead of loading my actual Minecraft account, which has the Gamertag <PII removed>

It seems like a duplicate account profile issue or an entitlement sync error on the server side. Could you please look up my Order ID and help me recover or link my email back to my correct profile <PII removed>

    Hello Snow,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your personal information in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.

Usually, your Xbox profile will be linked to your Microsoft Account at the point of creation. After that, you can no longer create another profile with that account. The most possible reason for this is that your email address is no longer linked with your Microsoft Account. In other words, your account might have been hacked, and the hacker has changed the log in email.

Unfortunately, this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. In this case, you can whether try to submit a recovery form at aka.ms/recovermyaccount or contact Microsoft Support.

    • Type Live chat in the search box.
    • Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or Sign in to contact support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab, and choose Other products
    • On the Category tab, choose Billing and Account Profile questions
    • Go to Confirm.
    • You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.

    Thank you for your understanding.

The behavior described indicates that the email being used to sign in is not currently recognized as the Microsoft account that owns the Minecraft/Xbox profile with the gamertag ARABKARDO. When that happens, Microsoft’s systems will treat the sign-in as a new account and generate a new, empty Xbox profile (such as “LinenPizza8893”).

Use these steps to verify and correct the account being used:

    1. Check whether the email is actually a Microsoft account
      1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com.
      2. Enter the email address being used to sign in.
      3. If the page shows a password prompt, that email is a Microsoft account.
      4. If the message says “We couldn't find an account with that username” or “That Microsoft account doesn't exist,” then that email is not a Microsoft account and is not the one that owns ARABKARDO.
        • In that case, check for spelling/domain issues (for example, .com vs .co.uk) or whether the original account might have been closed.
    2. Check for multiple Microsoft accounts on the same email If there are both a “Work or school account” and a “Personal account” with the same email, the sign-in prompt will ask “Which account do you want to use?”. In that case:
      • Always choose the Personal account for Minecraft/Xbox.
      • If the prompt is confusing or keeps appearing, consider renaming the personal Microsoft account by adding or using a different alias as the primary sign-in (via Manage how you sign in on the Microsoft account page). This does not move purchases, but it can help ensure the correct account is used consistently.
    3. Confirm which Microsoft account owns the Minecraft purchase Since the system is creating a new empty profile, the purchase is almost certainly tied to a different Microsoft account than the one currently being used:
      • Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser and launcher.
      • Try signing in with any other email addresses or aliases that might have been used when Minecraft was purchased.
      • Each time, check whether the correct gamertag ARABKARDO appears and whether the Minecraft entitlement is present.
    4. If the original Microsoft account no longer works If the email that used to show ARABKARDO now fails to sign in or says the account does not exist, follow the standard account recovery path:
      • Use the Recover your account flow at https://account.live.com/password/reset and provide the email, phone, or Skype name that was used.
      • If the username or password has stopped working, follow the steps in “My username and password have stopped working” to reset the password and regain access.
    5. If the email is a valid Microsoft account but still shows only the new profile
      • This typically means the Minecraft purchase and the gamertag ARABKARDO are on a different Microsoft account.
      • Use the order ID and receipt details with Minecraft Support so they can verify which Microsoft account the entitlement is attached to and advise on options. The community guidance in similar cases is that Microsoft account ownership and entitlements cannot be manually moved by forum or general support; Minecraft Support is the correct escalation path for game entitlements.
    6. If the account was hacked or the email on it was changed
      • Follow the official guidance for a hacked or compromised Microsoft account and complete the account recovery form with as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, purchase details, devices, etc.).
      • If the recovery form indicates the account does not exist or recovery is denied, community guidance states there is no alternative method for Microsoft to restore that personal account. In that situation, Minecraft Support is the only potential path for help with the Minecraft license itself.

Because account and purchase lookups cannot be performed here, the practical next steps are:

    • Verify the correct Microsoft account using the sign-in check above.
    • Try all possible emails/aliases that might own ARABKARDO.
    • If still unresolved, contact Minecraft Support with the order ID and explain that signing in with the current email creates a new profile (“LinenPizza8893”) instead of loading ARABKARDO.
