I have this game that I downloaded off the internet a couple of years ago, but now I can't uninstall it. I need to uninstall so I can free up storage on my laptop. Please help me!

Hi,

Try using Revo Uninstaller in Windows Apps mode to see if the game appears and try uninstalling it. Even if it gives an error, see if it recognizes the game folder to delete it.

Do I have to install revo uninstaller on the microsoft store? Also I downloaded the game off a sus website. It wasn't sus back when I was looking at it.

Hi,

You don't need to download it from the Microsoft Store; use the portable version from the Revo website itself.

Could you try reinstalling the game to uninstall it?

I was referring to the portable version, not the professional version.

After opening the application, check the "Windows Apps" option and see if the game appears.

Hi,

I believe the game might no longer be on the PC, but the installation registry file is still there.

If you want to check the folders to see if you can find it, I recommend using TreeSavior to check if the game is still on the PC.

If you can, reinstall the game and then uninstall it, thus correcting the registry error.

I didn't find the viva pinata file or anything related. Do you think that a complete reinstall of my windows software will fix this problem? Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi,

I believe the game may have been uninstalled, but the registry file remained, which is why it appears. The problem is that it attempts to modify the Windows registry, which is very dangerous.

You can do a clean reinstall of Windows, and that should solve all the problems. Remember to back up your files first, and the best procedure is using a USB flash drive.

You can use Treesize to see other folders and delete what's taking up space, but be careful about what you can and can't delete.

I can look at the folders you don't recognize so we can free up space if you need to.

alright i managed to get rid of it by doing clean install!

however now it seems i cant change the brightness of my screen.

i used my keyboard, i went to settings to change it, and i went to the bottom right corner. nothing works.

do you have any solutions?

Use the standard Windows uninstall options first, then clean up anything left over.

Try uninstalling from Settings
1. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
2. Search for the game.
3. Select More (the three dots) > Uninstall and follow the prompts.
If it does not appear or won’t uninstall from Settings
1. Open Control Panel from the taskbar search box.
2. Go to Programs > Programs and Features.
3. Look for the game in the list.
4. Right‑click it and choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change, then complete the wizard.
If the game still does not show anywhere
- It may already be partially removed. Use Free up drive space tools to reclaim space:
  1. Select Start > Settings > System > Storage.
  2. Open Cleanup recommendations.
  3. Review Temporary files, Large or unused files, and Unused apps and select items to remove.
  4. Select Clean up for each section to delete them.

These steps remove normal apps and help free storage even when an app’s own uninstall entry is missing.
