    Hi @Jeffrey Pepe,

Thank you for your patience, and I would like to apologize for the earlier confusion in my previous guidance.

After reviewing this more carefully, I need to clarify that the ability to navigate directly to the next or previous email from within an open (pop‑out) message window is not currently supported in the new Outlook experience.

This behavior was available in the classic Outlook (for example, via Next and Previous buttons or shortcuts), but in the new Outlook, these controls are no longer available in the same way, particularly when working with messages opened in separate windows.

You can still move between emails using:

    • Ctrl + . to go to the next message
    • Ctrl + , to go to the previous message

However, this works when navigating within the message list or main view, not when staying inside a pop‑out email window

Since this feature is not currently supported, I recommend submitting feedback directly to Microsoft via the Feedback Portal to help prioritize this feature in future updates.

    Hi @Jeffrey Pepe,

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the keyboard shortcuts in the new Outlook.

To move to the next email, please try the following options below. Depending on how your Outlook window is configured, one of these methods should allow you to navigate between messages more effectively:

    • When you are in the Reading Pane, press Ctrl + > to move to the next message.
    • When your emails are opened in separate windows, press Ctrl + . (period) to move to the next message.
    • Press the Down Arrow key to move to the next message in the message list.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow the steps above and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can continue working together to resolve the issue.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out so I can continue to support you. If you found the response useful, please consider marking it as accepted, as this may help other community members who are looking for similar guidance.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
