We have an Azure SQL Managed Instance that has remained in a "Starting" state for over one hour and has not transitioned to Ready.
Environment:
- Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Region: UK South
- Tier: General Purpose (Gen5), 4 vCores
Observed behaviour:
- Managed Instance status remains "Starting"
- Database remains "Stopped"
- Multiple page refreshes show no change
- No progress after waiting over one hour
Actions attempted:
- Refreshed Azure portal
- Checked troubleshooting options
- Looked for TDE-related issues
Is the instance startup/provisioning process stuck, or is there a platform/resource issue preventing the instance from reaching Ready state?
