i recently got an email from microsoft that stated my 365 subscription would be renewed for another year and my bank account would be charged $129.99 and it looks like I have been charged for this subscription since 2022.I want to cancel this subscription now and get a refund for the prior years. I have another account that I use daily and did not realize that I was also getting charged for this account. If you check my usage you will see that it has not been used. Please cancel the account and give me a refund for the years it was not used.

To stop being charged on this Microsoft 365 subscription and request a refund, follow these steps.

    1. Cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription
      1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the Microsoft account that is being charged.
      2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription that is renewing at $129.99.
      3. Select Cancel subscription (or Upgrade or cancel), then follow the prompts.
      4. On the cancel page, review the Please review section and choose I don't want my subscription to complete cancellation.
      5. After cancellation, verify the end date so no further renewals occur.
      Notes:
      • If only Turn on recurring billing is shown, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not renew again.
      • If the subscription was purchased in Germany, it can be cancelled without signing in by using Cancel a Microsoft subscription acquired in Germany.
    2. Check if the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft or a third party
      • If the subscription was purchased from a third-party retailer (for example Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Google Play), Microsoft cannot cancel or refund it. In that case, contact that retailer’s customer support to cancel and request a refund, following their refund policies.
    3. Request a refund
      • After cancelling, check refund eligibility in the Microsoft account by following the guidance in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription. Not all cancellations result in a refund, and eligibility depends on region, subscription type, and timing.
      • In some countries (for example Canada, Israel, Korea, Turkey, and certain longer-term renewed subscriptions in Denmark, Finland, Germany for purchases on or after March 1, 2022, Netherlands, Poland, and Portugal), prorated refunds may be available. See Countries with prorated refunds for Microsoft subscriptions from the cancellation article.
    4. If still being charged or needing help with refunds
      • If charges continue after cancellation, it may be because the cancellation was too close to the billing date or a different Microsoft account is being billed. Go to Subscriptions and confirm the end date and which account is active.
      • For billing issues such as duplicate charges or refund questions that cannot be resolved through self-service, contact Microsoft Billing Support via Contact Microsoft Support. Choose Microsoft 365, describe the billing issue (duplicate/unused subscription, multiple accounts), and use the Contact Support or chat option so an agent can review the account and applicable refund options.

If one subscription is managed through a retailer (for example Amazon) and another directly through Microsoft, cancel and request a refund separately with each provider (the retailer for their charge, Microsoft for the direct charge).
