I have been locked out for 6 days now and cannot find any way of getting back in, nor how I can get microsoft to help me - it is an utter nightmare - also my corresponding phone number (

I have done probably 100+ of your 'bot let's see if you are human' spent hours trying to get back in, this has all my court documentation, a book I am writing and all of my information which I need to do on a daily basis -WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET BACK INTO MY OWN HOTMAIL ACCOUNT PLEASE - THIS IS A NIGHTMARE

I DON'T NEED TO POST A QUESTION - I NEED A SUPPORT WORKER WHO CAN HELP ME WITH THIS RIDICULOUS FARCE!!!

Human agents cannot directly unlock or bypass security on a personal Hotmail/Outlook.com (Microsoft) account. Account recovery and unlock are handled almost entirely by automated systems for security reasons.

To try to get back into the Hotmail account:

    1. Use the official Sign-in Helper / unblock flow
      • Go to the Outlook.com unblock page and select Sign-in Helper.
      • Sign in with the locked Hotmail address and follow the prompts to request a security code and unblock the account.
      • If the phone number currently on file is not working, use any other phone number that can receive SMS; it does not have to be associated with the account, and it does not need to be a smartphone.
    2. If the account is locked due to suspicious activity
      • If there is no Next option when trying to sign in, the account is locked for suspicious activity or Terms of Use issues.
      • In that case, use the aka.ms/ link shown on the lock screen and follow the instructions to submit the reinstatement form. A Microsoft Online Safety agent will review it and contact by email. Do not submit multiple forms, as that can slow the response.
    3. If sign-in or password reset still fails
      • If the username/password are no longer accepted, use Recover your account at the Microsoft account password reset page and follow the steps to reset the password.
      • If the system reports that the account does not exist, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper linked in the lockout article.
    4. If verification options are wrong or unavailable
      • If the phone/email shown for verification are not recognized or not accessible, follow the guidance to recover your account using the recovery form.
      • When filling the recovery form, use a device and location normally used for that account and provide as much accurate information as possible.
    5. If rate limits or lockouts are hit
      • If too many attempts have been made (codes, forms, sign-ins), the system can temporarily block further attempts. In that case, wait out the lockout period (often about 24 hours) without trying again, then retry using the official recovery or sign-in helper tools.
    6. If none of the above works
      • For consumer Microsoft accounts, moderators and standard support agents cannot manually override the automated recovery system or directly unlock the account. If the automated recovery fails repeatedly, there may be no further escalation path for a free personal Hotmail account.
