My husband cannot sign in to his outlook account or receive assistance. I am trying to see if I can add him to my Microsoft account or if I need to update his Windows.

Can he sign in via outlook.com?
Are you using the inbuilt Outlook email client, Outlook 365 or Outlook via the web?
If the inbuilt email then check to see if there’s an option to upgrade to Outlook new.
Hello thanks, it is the strangest thing he was Hotmail and that is now outlook it is on his Dell desktop and also his phone. It gives him codes and will not solve the issue it will not even let us ask for help I just need to know what to do. Upgrade windows? which why would it not work on his phone? I pay for Microsoft 365 on my laptop so I am wondering if I can add him to it and use it for both devices.
Can you please clarify - are you saying his Hotmail email address is now an outlook email address or that Hotmail email client is now outlook email client? If he has an hotmail email address then this is still valid but any new accounts created will be outlook email addresses.
It would help if you could answer the questions I asked as if he can’t sign in online then his account may have been hacked which would require the account recovery form.
Yes his email is still Hotmail but for awhile now it was coming through outlook .
