Use the Microsoft account order history and billing tools to verify how these charges were processed and which subscription is active.
- Check Microsoft order history
- Go to the order history page: account.microsoft.com/billing.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account used on the Xbox/PC.
- Under Payment & billing > Order history, set the date range to include the day the Visa card was charged.
- Look for charges with status Completed or Redeemed that match the Game Pass amounts. If the charge does not appear there, it was likely processed on a different Microsoft account or via a non‑Microsoft billing platform.
- Confirm which platform processed the transaction
- If the Game Pass payment appears in order history, it was processed by Microsoft and the subscription details there are authoritative.
- If the payment does not appear in order history but is on the Visa statement, the charge may have been made using a different Microsoft account or a non‑Microsoft billing platform. In that case, sign out and try other Microsoft accounts that might have been used, then recheck order history.
- Investigate unexpected or missing charges
- Go to the Manage your payments page from the Microsoft account dashboard and use the Investigate option for the card used, as described in the billing charge troubleshooter. This helps identify which subscription or purchase the card charge belongs to.
- If multiple Microsoft accounts share the same card (for example, family members), check for charges on those accounts as well.
- If the subscription still shows only 14 days
- In Services & subscriptions on the Microsoft account site, verify the Xbox Game Pass subscription term and renewal date.
- If the Visa charge corresponds to a separate Game Pass period but the subscription end date has not updated, or if the charge cannot be matched to any order, contact Microsoft Support so an agent can review the account and adjust or refund if appropriate.
- When to contact support or the bank
- If the charge appears on the bank/Visa statement but cannot be found under any Microsoft account order history, follow the guidance in the billing charge article: either work with Microsoft Support to locate it or, if it cannot be associated with any account, dispute it with the card issuer as a potential fraudulent or misapplied charge.
