Stock Data Type do not refresh in web excel

Hi,

Excel desktop is working fine. Stock Data Type is refreshed automatically and every 5 mins. As expected.

I read that Excel on the web should have exactly the same Refresh option. But it does not have it anymore.

When I right click on the Stock Data Type cell Data Type popup menu only has Convert to Text option. No Refresh or any other options. Data tab -> Refresh All does not refresh Stock Data Type Price. I had to open Excel for Desktop to refresh it.

I would like to see refreshed stock price on mobile phone. Are there any options? Besides using Google Sheets?

Thanks!

    Hi @Sergei Overko,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on my testing environment, when opening Excel via the web version, there are two options available: Refresh Settings and Convert to Text.

    User's image

You can click Refresh Settings > Refresh All to refresh the data.

If you do not see these options, please try opening Excel Online in an incognito browser. At the same time, disable browser extensions such as AdBlock, VPN, 1.1.1.1, etc.

Regarding the question: Is there a way to refresh Stock data on mobile devices? At the moment, Excel on mobile (including iOS and Android) does not support refreshing Stock data.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
