Hi Team,

I have enabled the target audience on the SharePoint lists and libraries. I have created three security groups and added users to these groups. I have added the groups in different items on the lists and libraries. The target audience is not working as expected. I opened the ticket with Microsoft and they told me that audience target will not work on the lists and libraries. My question is if it will not work then why we have given this feature as this is making a lot of confusion. I will suggest can we remove this from the lists and libraries.

Let me know in case you have further questions.

Thanks and Regards,

Naveen Rajdev

    @Naveen Rajdev

    Sorry for the bad user experience.

    In the SharePoint Online, you could set Target Audience in the navigational links, pages, news web part, highlighted content web part, quick links web part and events web part.

    Reference:

    Target content to a specific audience on a SharePoint site

    Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions on the product.

    We suggest that you can go to the Microsoft Tech Community to submit a feedback.
