My Tesla account required email verification and it sent a verification code to my msn email account but I am not getting it. I have checked the spam/junk folder too. Please advise.

    Hello STELLA LEONG

I understand that you’re not receiving the verification email in your MSN account even after checking Junk/Spam and following the automated suggestions.

Have you already tried the Q&A Assist suggestions? In addition, please try the following in Outlook web:

1, Check the Blocked senders list

    • In Outlook.com, go to “Settings” > “Mail” > “Junk email”
    • Review “Blocked senders and domains”
    • If you see anything related to Tesla (or a no‑reply domain), remove it.

2, Check Safe/Focused Inbox and “Other” tab

    • Go to your Inbox and switch between “Focused” and “Other” tabs
    • Some automated emails may land in “Other” instead of the main view

3, Review Sweep or Inbox rules again (more specific check)

    • Go to “Settings” > “Mail” > “Rules”
    • Look for any rule that moves messages automatically (especially ones targeting unknown senders or keywords like “verification”)
    • Temporarily disable any suspicious rule

4, Add Tesla as a safe sender (prevention step)

    • In “Settings” > “Mail” > “Junk email”, under “Safe senders and domains”, add the sender/domain if known (e.g., @tesla.com)
    • Then request Tesla to resend the code

I truly hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know how things go and thank you for your understanding.

Try these steps in Outlook.com for the MSN mailbox:

    1. Check Junk Email again
      • In Outlook.com, open the Junk Email folder and look for the Tesla message.
      • If found, select it and choose Not junk / Not junk to move it back to Inbox and train filtering.
    2. Check other folders and filters
      • Look in Deleted Items, Archive, and any custom folders in case a rule or another email app moved the message.
      • If another mail app (for example on a phone) is connected to this MSN account, it might be moving messages to Junk or another folder. Using Outlook.com or a Microsoft app such as Mail for Windows 10 or Outlook for Windows can help avoid third‑party apps misclassifying mail.
    3. Disable problematic browser add‑ons
      • If using Firefox, certain add‑ons can prevent the inbox from loading correctly. Disable or remove add‑ons as described in Firefox support, then reload Outlook.com and check again.
    4. Confirm the account is still active
      • If the MSN/Outlook.com mailbox has not been signed into for a long time, it may have been closed and mail deleted. Outlook.com mailboxes are closed if not used for a year, and Microsoft accounts can be closed after two years of inactivity. Make sure sign‑in is working and the mailbox opens normally.
    5. Ask Tesla to resend or use another address
      • After confirming the mailbox is active and Junk/other folders are checked, request Tesla to resend the verification email or, if possible, change the verification email address to another active mailbox.

If messages from Tesla continue not to appear anywhere in Outlook.com after these checks, use a different verification method or email address with Tesla, since Outlook.com does not provide a way to force‑allow a specific sender beyond standard Junk controls.
