Powerpoint app features that aren't online

Hey MS Team,

I’m looking for some advice regarding PowerPoint Section Zooms during online delivery in Microsoft Teams.

The “Insert Section Zoom” feature is one of my favourite tools in PowerPoint and I use it throughout nearly all of my presentations because it makes navigation and delivery feel far more interactive and fluid.

However, when presenting through Teams using PowerPoint Live / the online version, the Section Zoom feature is unavailable or doesn’t function correctly.

I’m wondering:

  • Is there a way to use Section Zooms properly during Teams presentations?
  • Is there another workaround that people use?
  • Or is the only reliable option to screen share the desktop app version of PowerPoint instead?

I’d really love to keep using this feature rather than redesigning all my presentations around its limitations.

Thanks in advance!

    Dear @Stuart Shipway,

To ensure I understand your request correctly and to support you as effectively as possible, I need more specific information from you:

Could you share a screenshot of the issue?

Are you using a personal or business/ school account?

Could you provide a screenshot of File > Account showing the subscription name?

Could you describe more details about the limitations?

Have you tried using the PowerPoint desktop app?

Due to my environment test on PowerPoint desktop app, the Section Zoom feature works normally as the below images.User's image
