I tried to open roblox player by double clicking it, but it didn't work. I then tried to run as administrator but that didn't work either. I researched the question online, but I could not find a clear solution that fixed it.

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

Kindly try to uninstall Roblox and install it again. If the issue persists, please let me know the make and model of your device, as I will check if the PC is compatible with Roblox:

Press the Windows key + R, then type in:

msinfo32

Then hit OK

Click File > Save > Save it to Desktop or Documents.

Then please upload it to Cloud storage like OneDrive or any cloud storage you are using and please share the shareable link here.

To upload and share the link using OneDrive:

Go to this link: https://onedrive.live.com/, then upload the file.

Then, provide the shareable link by following the steps from this link:

Try these steps on Windows 11 in this order:

    1. Reset the Microsoft Store cache Roblox Player is installed and updated through Microsoft Store (if using the Store version), so first reset the Store backend:
      1. Press Windows key + R.
      2. Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
      3. A blank Command Prompt opens and closes after a few seconds, then Microsoft Store should open automatically.
      4. Try launching Roblox Player again.
    2. Repair or reset Microsoft Store and Roblox
      1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      2. Find Microsoft Store > Advanced options > select Repair. If it still fails, select Reset.
      3. Do the same for Roblox (Roblox Player / Roblox app) if it appears in the list: Advanced options > Repair, then Reset if needed.
      4. Try launching Roblox again.
    3. Make sure Windows and Store are up to date
      1. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates and install any available updates.
      2. Open Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates to update Store and apps.
      3. Restart the PC and test Roblox.
    4. Check date, time, and region Incorrect time/region can break Store apps and game launches.
      1. Go to Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
      2. Turn on Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.
      3. Ensure Region matches the actual country.
    5. Reinstall Roblox
      1. Uninstall Roblox from Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      2. Restart the PC.
      3. Reinstall Roblox from Microsoft Store or from the official Roblox installer, then try again.

If Roblox still does not open after these steps, test with a different Windows user account to see if it is profile-specific, and check for third‑party antivirus or security tools that might be blocking the executable.
