    Hi,

Did you access the device manager > in the sound, video and game controllers tab > check if you have High Definition Audio or Realtek Audio?

You can access msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot and post it here so we can see the laptop model or desktop configuration.

    Thanks

Try these steps in order on Windows 11:

    1. Confirm the correct output device
      1. Select the Speakers icon on the taskbar.
      2. Select the arrow to the right of the volume slider (tooltip: “Select a sound output”).
      3. Choose the device actually in use (laptop speakers, wired headset, or the intended device instead of Bluetooth/HDMI if they’re not being used).
    2. Run the Windows audio troubleshooter
      1. Open the Get Help app and run the audio troubleshooter using the “Troubleshoot audio issues” option.
      2. Let it detect and fix common issues automatically.
    3. Check Windows Update and restart
      1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
      2. Install any available updates.
      3. Restart the PC (use Update and restart if shown) and test audio again.
    4. Update or reinstall the audio driver
      1. In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager and open it.
      2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      3. Right-click the sound card or audio device (for example, speakers/headphones) and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
      4. If no newer driver is found or sound still does not work:
        • Right-click the same device and select Uninstall device.
        • Check “Attempt to remove the driver for this device” if available.
        • Restart the PC so Windows reinstalls the audio driver automatically.
    5. Try the generic Windows audio driver
      1. Open Device Manager again and expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      2. Right-click the audio device and select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
      3. Select High Definition Audio Device (the generic driver) and select Next, then test audio.

If the sound stopped after a recent update and was working before, roll back the audio driver from Device Manager (device Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver) or restore from a system restore point created before the issue started.
