To stop being billed for the Microsoft 365 business subscription that was set up with a personal email address (for example, an @aol.com address), the subscription must be cancelled through either Microsoft account/billing or the payment provider.

    Use the following options:

    1. Try to cancel via Microsoft account/billing
      1. Sign in with the personal email that was used to buy the subscription at the Microsoft account/billing site (the same account that is being charged).
      2. Go to the subscriptions area and turn off recurring billing or cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription.
      3. If sign‑in is possible but the subscription cannot be managed, use the support flow from the account/billing pages to contact Microsoft Support and request help with cancelling that specific subscription.
    2. If sign‑in or account ownership cannot be established If the account credentials are not available, or the account cannot be recovered/verified, Microsoft will not cancel the subscription directly because of account‑security rules. In that case, cancel the payment at the bank/credit‑card level:
      1. Contact the card issuer or bank that is paying the Microsoft 365 charge.
      2. Ask them to block or dispute further recurring charges from Microsoft for that subscription.

If the subscription belongs to someone else (for example, a family member) and access to their Microsoft account is needed, follow the documented legal/ownership process for accessing another person’s Microsoft services, or work with the bank to stop payment.
