Snipping Tool screenshot markup editor app freezes completely when trying to save cropped snippets to storage

Hey team, taking a screen capture using the Win + Shift + S shortcut works fine. The notification banner appears, and I can click it to open the canvas tool workspace. But the moment I click the floppy disk icon to save my cropped snippet file, the entire utility freezes, goes unresponsive, and discards my cropped screenshot without saving anything.

Is there an app cache corrupting?

    Hello,

The Snipping Tool freezing issue is caused by corrupted application data or a broken registration within the Windows Shell. To resolve this, you can first reset the application through your system settings, which clears the temporary cache stored in your local user profile. If the issue continues, you can use an administrative PowerShell command to re-register the Snipping Tool's manifest, which restores the integrity of the application's installation and its connection to the system. Additionally, ensure your designated save folder has proper write permissions, as the tool requires unrestricted access to finalize the file-saving process.
