Since you’re using Windows 11 (Home), you can use your camera through the built‑in Camera app and then upload your photos to websites.

1, Make sure your camera is enabled

• Go to “Start” > “Settings” > “Privacy & security” > “Camera”
• Turn on “Camera access”
• Make sure “Let apps access your camera” is also turned on

2, Open and test the Camera app

• Select “Start”
• Type “Camera” and open the app
• If you see your image, your camera is working
• Click the camera button to take a photo

The picture will automatically save in:

• “Pictures” > “Camera Roll”

3, Upload your photos to a website

When you’re on a website:

• Click “Upload”, “Browse”, or “Choose file”
• Go to “Pictures” > “Camera Roll”
• Select your photo and confirm

4, If the camera does not turn on

Try these quick checks:

• Look for a physical camera switch or privacy cover on your device
• Press a function key (like F8 / F10) with a camera icon
• Restart your device

To take pictures with a Windows 11 device and then upload them to sites, use the built-in Windows Camera app.

1. Open the Camera app
   • Select the Camera shortcut: Open Camera app, or
   • Right-click Start > Search, type camera, then select the Camera app under Best match.
2. Choose the photo mode
   • In the Camera app, make sure the Photo button on the right side is selected. It will change to Take photo when photo mode is active.
3. Take a picture
   • Point the camera at the item.
   • Select the Take photo button to capture the image.
4. View the picture
   • After taking the photo, a thumbnail appears in the Camera roll at the bottom-right of the Camera app.
   • Select the thumbnail to open a larger view of the photo.
5. (Optional) Edit or manage the picture While viewing the photo in the Camera app:
   • Use Zoom to zoom in or out.
   • Use Rotate to rotate the photo 90° clockwise each time.
   • Use Delete to remove the photo if not needed.
   • Use Filters to switch between Photo, Document, and Whiteboard modes if capturing different kinds of content.
   • Select the ellipsis (…) in the top-right for more options:
     • Copy – copy the image to the clipboard.
     • Open Folder – open the folder where the photo is saved (this is useful for finding the file to upload on websites).
     • Export – open the Print dialog to print or save as PDF.
   • To open the photo in the Photos app for further editing, select the Photos app icon in the top-left.
6. Upload the picture to websites
   • When a website asks to upload or attach a photo, choose its Browse, Upload, or Choose file button.
   • In the file picker window, navigate to the folder opened by Open Folder from the Camera app (typically the Camera Roll or Pictures folder).
   • Select the photo and confirm to upload.

If the camera shows a black image or does not work, check for a camera function key (such as F-key with a camera icon) or a physical privacy slider on the device, and ensure it is turned on.
