hello! I cannot stay on-line? the only thing that workes is my cell phones hot spot?????????

Hello,

Since your laptop cannot stay online but your phone’s hotspot works normally,the Wi‑Fi adapter in the PC is functioning correctly. This means the issue ismost likely with your home router.

Please try the following:

  1. Power‑cycle your home router. Unplug the power cable, wait 6–10 minutes, then plug it back in.
  2. Remove the Wi‑Fi network from your laptop. Settings > Network & Internet > Wi‑Fi > Manage known networks > Forget. Then reconnect and enter the password again.
  3. If your router supports WPA3, change it to WPA2 or WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode.
  4. Check whether a firmware update is available for your router and apply it if so.
