Outlook 365 online does not mirror Outlook 365 desktop

Outlook online shows only my primary email account. It does not show email accounts that I added to my Outlook desktop account. There seems to be a sync issue. I looked at You Tube DIY's and Microsoft help articles, but I cannot find "add account" anywhere in Outlook online.

Thank you.

Outlook on the web (Outlook 365 online) and the Outlook desktop app manage accounts separately. Adding accounts in the desktop profile does not automatically add those same accounts to Outlook on the web.

Outlook on the web will only show:

    • The mailbox for the account that is signed in, and
    • Any shared or delegated mailboxes that have been explicitly added/assigned to that account.

Additional personal accounts (for example, Gmail, Yahoo, or secondary Outlook.com accounts) that were added only in the desktop Outlook profile will not appear online. To see mail from those other accounts in a browser, each account must be signed into directly in its own Outlook.com/Exchange Online session, or configured as connected accounts if that feature is available in the specific service tenant.

There is no “sync” of account configuration between Outlook desktop and Outlook on the web, and Outlook on the web does not expose an “Add account” option in the same way the desktop client does.

Outlook Web (when you open https://outlook.live.com/ in a browser) only allows a single account.

Outlook Web can be used only for a single Microsoft email account.

    Hi

I understand you are asking about Outlook 365 online not mirroring Outlook 365 desktop — specifically, you added extra mail accounts in Outlook desktop, but only your primary account appears in Outlook on the web. I am happy to help. Please reply with the following details:

    • Are the missing accounts separate accounts, such as Gmail, Yahoo, or another Outlook.com account?
    • Or are they just additional email addresses under the same Microsoft account, which would mean they are aliases?
    • If this is a work or school account, are the missing mailboxes possibly shared mailboxes that require admin-granted access?

I would love to hear from you soon. Have a nice day!
