I have a Microsoft 365 Personal annual subscription. I have installed it on my laptop. MS Word and MS Excel ask me to upgrade my plan. I checked my account and it does not show 365 Personal is installed on my laptop. I have functionality on my laptop, except the requests for upgrading my plan. I am concerned about restrictions on the apps. I am also concerned about getting any updates. Help is appreciated.

This is an annual subscription. The expiration date is 11/8/26. Billing shows the payment in October 2025 was processed. My account stills show no installs and want me to upgrade.

    1

    Open Word.

At the top right of Word, log out of Office.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then log back into Office, is your subscription then recognised correctly.

    2

If not, log into your Microsoft account on this link, check the expiry date listed on your subscription, is that listed correctly.

If not, go to the Payments and Billing section, is it indicated your payment has been processed correctly.
