I got accepted to the Start-up Founder's Hub but I can't generate a token and I believe it's because MS thinks the email I'm signed in as is a personal email.

The behavior you are experiencing is expected when using a personal Microsoft account (MSA) instead of a work or school account (Microsoft Entra ID).
According to Microsoft documentation:

A Microsoft account (personal account) is designed for consumer services such as Outlook.com, OneDrive, and Xbox.

A work or school account is created in a Microsoft Entra ID tenant and is required for accessing organizational services like Azure and Microsoft for Startups.

Azure and related services (including Founders Hub) rely on Entra ID identities associated with a tenant. If you sign in using only a personal account that is not part of a tenant, certain operations, such as token generation or accessing program resources, may fail because the account is not recognized within an organizational directory.

Recommended Resolution

To resolve the issue, you should:

Use or create a work/school account (Entra ID)

Sign in to Azure Portal

Create a Microsoft Entra ID tenant (if one does not already exist)

Create a user account in that tenant

Ensure your account is associated with the startup profile

Founders Hub access depends on your identity being correctly linked to a startup profile and tenant

Lack of this association can prevent access or functionality.

Sign in again using the work account

After switching to a work account, retry the token generation process

I have successfully signed into Azure using my Entra ID work account. However, because I am completely locked out of the Founders Hub portal via an infinite login loop on my old account, I cannot associate this new work account with my startup profile myself.

How can I perform an Entitlement Transfer / Tenant Re-association on the backend to link my startup profile and Azure credits to this new work account?

Hello Will Tyler, I hope you are doing well,

For startups in the Founders Hub. Many services that require token generation (such as Azure OpenAI API access or specific enterprise app registrations) mandate a verified business domain (Entra ID) and will block requests originating from a personal Microsoft Account (MSA) like Outlook or Gmail.

Because your Azure Sponsorship credits are hard-linked to the personal email you applied with, you cannot simply update your profile email. You must perform an account migration in two phases:

Phase 1: Transfer Startups Portal Access

Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal using your personal email.

Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner.

Navigate to the Team Members tab and click Invite a team member.

Invite your business email address.

Once you accept the invitation on your business account, return to the Team Members tab on your personal account and click Transfer admin permission to the new business email.

Phase 2: Transfer Azure Sponsorship Credits (Required)

Transferring the portal admin does not automatically move your Azure credits to your business tenant. Because sponsorship subscriptions are program-managed, you cannot transfer billing ownership via the Azure Portal.

While logged into the Founders Hub portal, click the "?" (Help) icon in the top right.

Select Submit a Support Ticket.

Explicitly request an "Entitlement Transfer / Tenant Re-association." Provide your personal email, your new business email, and state that you need your Azure Sponsorship credits migrated to your business tenant to bypass personal account token restrictions.

The support team typically processes these entitlement transfers within a few business days.

It doesn't allow me to log into the founder's hub. I can get into Azure though.
