Subject: Urgent: Account Compromise + Identity Verification Request — Account Does Not Exist Error

2026-06-08T10:05:37.2566667+00:00

Dear Microsoft Account Security and Support Team,

I am writing to formally report a suspected account compromise and to request immediate assistance regarding my Microsoft/Outlook account.

MY DETAILS

Full Name: [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

Compromised Microsoft/Outlook Account: [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@students.ebs.de

Current Working Email (for reply): [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@gmail.com

Country of Residence: Germany (International Student)

Date of This Report: 8 June 2026

SITUATION SUMMARY

I am unable to sign in to my Microsoft/Outlook account. The system states the account "does not exist." I did not delete this account, nor did I authorise any changes to it.

Simultaneously, both of my registered phone numbers — my German number and my Indian number — have stopped functioning at the same time. I strongly believe this is a coordinated SIM swap attack connected to the compromise of my Microsoft account.

Because both SIM cards are currently non-functional, I am unable to complete any phone-based identity verification. I therefore request that Microsoft accept an alternative form of identity verification, specifically a government-issued photo ID (passport), which I am fully prepared to provide.

SPECIFIC REQUESTS

  1. Immediate review of my account status — whether it was deleted, suspended, or modified
  2. Full account activity logs including:
    • All sign-in attempts (dates, times, IP addresses, device information)
    • All changes made to the account (email address, password, security info, recovery options)
    • Any third-party access granted to the account
  3. Alternative identity verification via government-issued passport instead of SMS
  4. If the account was compromised — immediate escalation to your Account Security team

I am happy to provide a scanned copy of my passport or national ID to verify my identity. Please advise how I can securely submit this to your team.

I request a response to this email at:[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@gmail.com

Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.

Yours sincerely,

[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

Hi @Ramadiyil Saji, Sreeraj (EBS Student)

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding the issue where you are unable to sign in to your account.

Based on the details you shared, it appears that your account is associated with a student organization. In this case, I recommend contacting your school’s IT administrator or the school technical support team so they can verify the status of your account directly in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and perform further investigation if needed.

Please note that forum moderators do not have access to user accounts and are unable to assist with actions such as account recovery, password reset, or access restoration. These types of requests must be handled by your organization’s administrator or the appropriate Microsoft support channels.

If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Thank you again for your time and understanding. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.

I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response!
