Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi Charles Simms,
I understand that the “You replied to this email on [date/time]” note used to appear on your replied messages, but it is no longer showing in new Outlook for Windows. Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors here do not have access to your mailbox or Outlook service-side settings.
I can see there is already a Q&A Assist answer under your post. Its explanation is generally correct, as there does not appear to be a documented setting in new Outlook to manually restore that exact note. Have you had a chance to try its suggestion and confirm whether your replies are still showing in Sent Items?
I would like to add that in new Outlook, reply and forward indicators may appear differently from classic Outlook, depending on the current version and message list layout. If the sent reply is still visible in Sent Items, this appears to be related to how the reply indicator is displayed, rather than the reply not being sent.
You can also compare the same mailbox in https://outlook.live.com/mail/ to check whether the note appears there. If this indicator is important for your workflow, you may send feedback from new Outlook by selecting Help > Feedback.
For reference, you may review: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/reply-to-or-forward-an-email-message-a843f8d3-01b0-48da-96f5-a71f70d0d7c8.
I hope this clarifies the current behavior and helps you verify your replied messages.
