hi I have been using word this morning and returned to working with it but it isn't opening my files now ?

I can open excel but in menu bar top left of laptop file menu doesn't have account option in menu ?

Do these files open normally when you start Word in Safe Mode?

1. Update Office
   1. Open any Office app that still starts (for example, Word or Excel). If Word won’t open at all, try Excel or PowerPoint.
   2. Go to File > Account.
   3. Under Product Information, select Update Options > Update Now (choose Enable Updates first if needed).
   4. Let updates finish, then close and reopen Word and try opening a file again.

   1. Select Start, type Control Panel, and open it.
   2. Go to Programs > Programs and Features.
