Managing profiles and sync in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I am experiencing a serious issue with Microsoft Edge Workspaces.
I previously had more than 20 Workspaces in Microsoft Edge. They were all working normally and were synchronized through my Microsoft account. My Edge sync is enabled, the profile is correct, and the sync settings appear to be unchanged.
However, all of my Workspaces have suddenly disappeared. When I open “Manage workspaces”, Edge only shows the option to create a “New workspace”. None of my previous Workspaces are visible anymore.
I also checked Favorites / Bookmarks and noticed that Edge created or displayed a folder named “Workspaces” / “Radni prostori”, but all workspace-related folders inside it are empty. No links, tabs, or saved workspace content were preserved there.
This means that:
This seems to have happened after a recent Microsoft Edge update or after the Workspaces migration to the new sync architecture. I am concerned that the Workspaces data may have been lost or not migrated correctly.
My current Microsoft Edge version is: [insert Edge version here]
Could you please check whether my Workspaces can be restored from Microsoft Edge Sync, cloud backup, migration logs, or any server-side workspace data? These Workspaces contained important work-related tab groups and URLs, so I would appreciate help recovering them if possible.
I can provide screenshots showing:

Hi Milan Jović
I understand how concerning it is to suddenly lose all your Workspaces, especially when they contained important tabs and ongoing work.
From similar cases, this is usually linked to sync or profile state issues rather than anything directly visible in the browser. When Workspaces no longer appear in the list, recovery options are unfortunately very limited.
To rule out common scenarios, you can try:
If the Workspaces list is empty across devices and profiles, there is currently no supported way to restore them automatically.
To avoid similar issues in the future, consider saving important tabs to Favorites or Collections as a backup. I know this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and I appreciate you bringing this up.
