I'm running Windows 11 Home, on a Ideapad Gaming 3 15IHU6, 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11320H, GTX 1650, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and the issue seems to have started after updating my wifi and bluetooth drivers. Whenever I connect my mouse, once disconnected they reconnect just fine for a few times, which seems to vary from 5 to 20. At a certain point, all mice cease to move my cursor.
To elaborate, the mice turn on fine, my laptop's touchpad works fine, my keyboard works fine, and the mice are connected and picked up by the computer. I say mice because I tested bluetooth mice, which connect fine and do not move the cursor, wired mice, which are also connected, which i can tell by the drivers refreshing in the device manager and also do not move the cursor, and 2.4Ghz usb dongle connections which also do nothing to help. I tested with both my old mouse which used to always work and a new razer mouse (Basilisk V3 x Hypershift) I bought. Both work for a period, then at some point between turning off and back on after a few times it just stops working.
This issue is fixed by restarting, but restarting every couple hours is incredibly irritating. I've tried uninstalling all mouse drivers, as well as HID drivers, both visible and hidden, then restarting as well as updating mouse drivers, but it seems to have no effect whatsoever. I've tried turning off the 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' option for the HID drivers to no avail. My laptop is always plugged into power, and the mice connecting to the laptop but refusing to move the cursor make me think it's a driver issue, even though the appropriate drivers for the mice seem to install/refresh themselves and refresh the device manager when connected. I've tried scanning for hardware changes and uninstalling the new bluetooth drivers with no fix.
The mouse specifically has to disconnect for it to stop working, and it doesn't stop working if it's still on and connected to my computer without being turned off. The mouse still turns on and connects via bluetooth, but then doesn't move the cursor.
I'm absolutely going to lose my mind over this, I've been dealing with it for over a month. Feel free to ask for any details I may have forgotten to mention, and absolutely any help is greatly appreciated.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The latest driver is not always the best and the most stable one.
Instead of using the drivers from Intel support assistant, please navigate to your laptop support page to download and install Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from there.

I rolled back my wifi and bluetooth drivers to the previous driver version from 2025 (It was as simple as clicking the rollback driver button in device manager LOL).
I also used the commands provided by you, I will restart my computer and update you regarding whether or not it ended up working.

I rolled back the drivers and yet the issue is still occuring, thus it seems the issue likely wasn't directly caused by the new drivers. Do you have any other ideas as to what makes the mice unable to move the cursor and yet can still connect to the computer flawlessly?

Have you tried updating the chipset drivers? If you have not, you may try to see if the problem can be resolved.
Hi, sorry for the late reply, but I logged onto the lenovo website and installed all the chipset drivers for my laptop and will update you on if it works, thanks for the idea!
Seems it didn't change anything. Any other ideas? I really don't know what kinda issue would lead to my mouses connecting just fine but just refusing to do anything, and it happens equally with all methods of mouse connection. So weird.

Please try performing an In-place upgrade.

Sure! Just a quick question, will this reset any system settings I have? I have a few registry entries edited to change minor settings which aren't accessible normally, stuff like telemetry and other small things. Will these be changed, along with any other settings?

Over the past few days I've learned a few things.
First, no I haven't done an in place upgrade unfortunately, as i do not have a large enough drive on me at the moment to back up, and backing up is a must for me as i have essential data on my current setup.
However, i did discover that this issue seemingly applies to all peripherals with a couple exceptions. Once i try to connect my keyboard once the mouse issue starts, it also refuses to connect to the computer, with bluetooth, usb reciever AND wired not working. Wired not working completely surprised me for the keyboard, as it should reliably work and has never done anything like this before. The exact same issue applies to the keyboard and i can assume other devices, but wifi connection works fine, headphones via bluetooth and wired work fine too, as well as the microphone that is built in. Usb file transfer also works fine with other devices. Im really stumped as to what could be going on.
Its not a power saving issue, as ive made sure to never let my laptop disconnect from the charger and the issue still eventually happened after a day or so, as usual.
If its of any importance, i also noticed that shutdowns did NOT fix the issue unless i turned off fast startup, which then acts like a full restart and fixes the issue. I'm not sure what fast startup changes, but maybe its relevant???
I will try to do an in place upgrade done ASAP, however the issue itself is really confusing. Ive never seen anything like it.

Shutdown with Fast Startup will not restart drivers, so you would see Shutdown without Fast Startup and Restart help. I hope this will explain the situation you have.
