The message I get when trying to enter my credit card details is: "Überprüfen Sie, ob die Details in allen Feldern richtig sind, oder versuchen Sie es mit einer anderen Karte." But the credit details are correct. How to solve this issue?

    Hi,

Are international transactions enabled on the card? The bank must confirm:

    • Online payments allowed

    International payments allowed

No security block on Microsoft transactions

Sufficient credit/funds These checks are highlighted in the page content

If your Microsoft account is set to a different country than the card’s issuing country, the system will reject it. Microsoft only accepts cards issued in the same region as the account.

    Also check:

If nothing helps, kindly contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Please go to the https://support.microsoft.com/contactus page

    Type "Billing" and press Enter.

Please click on the "Contact support" button at the bottom.

Select the Product and Category for support based on your requirements.

    Contact support abc_page-0001

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue where the card form keeps saying the details are incorrect even though they are right:

    1. Verify all card details exactly
      • Make sure the card number, expiration date, name on the card, and CVV are entered exactly as shown on the card.
      • Ensure the billing address (street, city, postal code) matches exactly what the bank has on file for that card, including spelling, abbreviations, and formatting.
      • If entering a postal code, try both with and without spaces, as suggested when adding a payment method.
    2. Check country/region and card eligibility
      • The payment method must be issued in the same country/region as the Microsoft account/tenant.
      • Some regions only support certain card types (for example, some regions support only credit cards, or only Visa/Mastercard for debit/credit).
      • Prepaid or virtual cards are not accepted for Microsoft Marketplace purchases.
    3. Confirm the card is active and not blocked
      • Contact the bank or card issuer to confirm:
        • The card is active and not blocked.
        • International or online transactions are allowed.
        • There are sufficient funds/credit available.
        • No security block has been placed on Microsoft transactions.
    4. Update or re-add the payment method
      • Go to the Microsoft account Payment options page and:
        • If the card already exists, ensure the information is up to date (expiration date, address, etc.).
        • If needed, remove the problematic card and add it again as a new payment method.
    5. Check for other account or store issues
      • Make sure there are no overdue subscription payments on the account.
      • Confirm the Microsoft account is not temporarily suspended.
      • Temporarily disable or adjust antivirus or security software that might block pop-ups or payment confirmation windows, then try again.
    6. Try a different card or payment method
      • If the error persists, try another eligible credit/debit card issued in the same country/region.
    7. Contact support if it still fails
      • If all details are correct, the card is active, and the error continues, contact the bank (to confirm they are not blocking the transaction) and then Microsoft Support for further help with the payment failure.
