Capturing audio, video, and screen content from Teams meetings for later review or sharing
Hi @Omar,
Good day, and thank you for your clear description of your question regarding making a Teams webinar recording available on-demand for users who did not register or attend the live event.
Based on my search, it appears that this is the expected behavior in Microsoft Teams. Even though the webinar shows “Anyone can view and join”, once the event has ended, the webinar landing page is no longer used as an open access portal. Instead, the on-demand experience is tied to the original registration process. As a result, users who did not register before the event may see the message indicating that the event has ended, rather than being able to access the recording directly from that page.
At this time, there does not appear to be a built-in option to reopen the webinar page for new viewers or allow unregistered users to access the on-demand recording directly from that page.
As a possible workaround, you may wish to consider sharing the recording outside of the webinar experience. For example, you may download the recording and publish it on another platform where you can manage broader access. This approach may allow you to make the content available to a wider audience without requiring prior registration. For guidance to download the recording, please see "Manage webinar recordings in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Support" at the section "Unpublish a webinar recording".
I understand that this functionality would be valuable for your use case, and it’s a situation many others may run into as well. As sharing this kind of experience can be helpful for the product team when considering future improvements, I recommend submitting your feedback through the Microsoft Teams · Community. Customer feedback plays an important role in influencing product enhancements, and your voice could help bring attention to a feature that many people would truly benefit from.
Once you've submitted your feedback, feel free to share the link here in the comments. I’ll be happy to upvote it to help bring more visibility.
