    • Your Outlook for Mac version. Version 16.110 (26061317) with 365
    • Your macOS version.  macOS Tahoe Version 26.5.1
    • Whether Search shows “No Results” or only finds some emails.  Shows "No Results"
    • Whether Search works in Outlook on the web and only fails in Outlook for Mac.  The search function works correctly when logging into outlook through my web browser. It's only in the Outlook app that this happens.

    Hi,

I understand Outlook search is not working on your MacBook Pro, and you need to find emails quickly. I am happy to help. Please reply with:

    • Your Outlook for Mac version.
    • Your macOS version.
    • Whether Search shows “No Results” or only finds some emails.
    • Whether Search works in Outlook on the web and only fails in Outlook for Mac.

    Please also try these checks:

    • Restart Outlook and your Mac first
      • Quit Outlook completely.
      • Restart your Mac.
      • Open Outlook again and test Search.
    • Make sure Outlook is updated
    • Rebuild the Outlook search index

Please follow Microsoft’s official guide here: Troubleshoot search issues in Outlook for Mac | Microsoft Support

    • Check whether the Outlook profile is blocked from Spotlight
      • On your Mac, open System Settings > Siri & Spotlight > Spotlight Privacy.
      • If your Outlook profile folder, or one of its parent folders, is listed there, remove it from the Privacy list.
    • Check the Outlook profile name
    • Outlook search can fail if the profile name contains special characters such as /. To check the profile name, open:
      • Finder > Applications
      • Right-click Microsoft Outlook > Show Package Contents
      • Open Contents > SharedSupport > Outlook Profile Manager

If the profile name contains special characters, rename the profile folder without those characters under: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!
