Request to Retrieve Historical Microsoft Certification Records (1999–2008)

Hello,

I would like assistance locating and recovering my historical Microsoft certification exam records completed between approximately 1999 and 2008.

Unfortunately, these records do not appear in my current Microsoft Certification Dashboard, and I would appreciate your help in retrieving and linking them to my account.

Here are the details that may help locate my records:

• Full name (at time of exams): Brian M Finnegan
• Postal Address: PII REMOVED
• Current name (if different): Brian Finnegan
• Approximate exam period: 1999 to 2008
• Possible certification tracks: (e.g., MCP / MCSE / MCSA – if applicable)
• Testing providers used: Likely Prometric and/or Pearson VUE
• Old email addresses used: ******@gmail.com
• MCP ID: PII REMOVED

My current Microsoft account email is: ******@outlook.ie

I would appreciate your assistance with:

Historical Microsoft Certification records and old MCP IDs are not managed or recovered through Microsoft Partner Center or this forum. Recovery and linking of legacy certifications (including MCP/MCSE/MCSA from 1999–2008 and MCP IDs such as 1329213) must be handled by the Microsoft Credentials Support team.

To proceed:

1. Go to Microsoft Credentials Support:
   • Use the guidance at Credentials support | Microsoft Learn.
2. Open a support request for missing/legacy certifications:
   • In the support form, clearly state that this is a request to recover and link historical MCP records (1999–2008) to the current Microsoft account.
   • Provide all the details listed in the question (full name at time of exams, MCP ID 1329213, approximate dates, old email addresses, testing providers, and current Microsoft account sign-in email).
3. Be prepared for identity verification:
   • The support team may request additional verification (such as copies of old score reports, IDs, or other proof) before they can locate and link the records.

If, after recovery, the certifications are successfully linked to the current Learn profile, they will appear in:

• The Transcript section of the Learn profile: https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/transcript
• The Credentials section (Certifications tab): https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/credentials/?tab=credentials-tab

If support confirms that some very old or retired certifications are no longer available in customer profiles, they may not be able to restore them, but only the Credentials Support team can confirm what is still retrievable for a specific MCP ID.
