Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Britney, yes, you can cancel the annual subscription, but the refund amount depends on Microsoft’s refund policy for your country/region and whether the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft. Community support cannot process billing refunds directly.
From your screenshot, please choose “Cancel subscription” rather than only “Turn off recurring billing”. You can sign in here with the account that purchased it: https://account.microsoft.com/services, open the Microsoft 365 subscription, select Manage, then Cancel subscription. During the cancellation process, Microsoft will show a refund option if the subscription is eligible.
You can also check Microsoft’s refund guide here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription
If no refund option appears, please contact Microsoft billing support here: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus so they can review the charge and eligibility for you.
Turning off recurring billing only stops the next renewal; it does not request a refund for the current annual subscription.
