Networked printer not working again
Already had this problem with KB5005565 and uninstalled that update on the host printer and networked laptop. That worked for a short time. Now apparently another Win 10 update occurred with the same problem. I have Win 10 on all machines. The host is sharing a Brother HL 2040 with USB connection. It continues to print from the host but is unable to print as a shared network printer - error is "Test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance? This operation is not supported. "
I checked that KB5005565 is not installed - at least it is not listed as a possibility to uninstall now.
The update history shows:
KB5006670 10/15/21 - after this problem started
KB4023057 10/8/2021 - Likely suspect
KB5005565 9/18/2021 - and removed already.
I am uncomfortable repeatedly removing security updates.

2021-10-27T01:47:08.917+00:00 Having same issue here as well. I actually installed all the update then did this registry update and it fixed it but it went bad again and stopped working again.
Here is the registry change that is already implemented and stopped working again after October updated.
To set the registry key, open the Windows Registry Editor and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print
Now create a new DWORD 32-bit value named RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled and set it to 0.
I also have already installed the Preview updates that came out today 10/26/21 with NO Luck.
KB5006738 and KB5006365We need these printing problems fixed once and for all. This is a very basic function that small businesses rely on every day and have since Windows 95.

2021-10-29T10:58:57.007+00:00 Probably your printer is not compatible with the new update version of windows. Kindly uninstalled all the new update of windows to your pc and it will came back to the normal. It also work for sharing printer to other network.
