I am trying to recall an email but the recall option is grayed out

The email recall option may be grayed out due to certain conditions. Message recall generally only works if both the sender and the recipient are on the same organization's Exchange or Microsoft 365 server. If the recipient is outside your organization, the recall option will be unavailable or grayed out.
