    Hi Naveen Nelavigi,

I understand how stressful that must be, especially when you were about to take the exam and a laptop issue prevented you from starting.

Does the Q&A Assist suggestion match your issue? If so, have you tried those steps, and did they produce any results?

In addition, could you please clarify:

    1. What type of exam were you trying to take (Microsoft certification, a school/university exam, or another provider's exam)?
    2. What laptop issue occurred (for example, could not power on, crashed, restarted unexpectedly, network issue, or something else)?
    3. Did the issue happen before the exam started, or while you were already taking the exam?
    4. Did you receive any message or email from the exam provider regarding rescheduling?

This information will help me determine the most appropriate next steps.

Exam appointments are not automatically rescheduled when there is a technical or device issue during the exam.

If the exam could not be taken because of a laptop issue, the next steps depend on how it was scheduled:

    1. If the exam was scheduled through Pearson VUE:
      • Contact Pearson VUE support to explain that the exam could not be completed due to technical issues and request assistance with rescheduling.
      • Use the Microsoft-specific Pearson VUE contact page: https://home.pearsonvue.com/microsoft/contact
    2. If a voucher or special offer was used (for example, from a Microsoft event or Cloud Skills Challenge):
      • In many offers, the exam must still be taken before the offer expiry date; missing the appointment does not extend the offer.
      • If the appointment was missed or interrupted, contact Pearson VUE support first, and if needed, also contact Microsoft Credentials Support (for example, via https://aka.ms/credentials-support where referenced) to review what can be done in that specific case.
    3. General reschedule/cancellation rules:
      • Exams must normally be rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled time, otherwise the fee or voucher can be forfeited.
      • Rescheduling or cancelling is done via the Learn profile or certification dashboard, which redirects to the exam delivery provider’s site.

Because rescheduling is not automatic, action with Pearson VUE (and, if applicable, Microsoft Credentials Support) is required to see whether the exam can be rescheduled or a voucher reinstated.
