Can I use images generated via Bing's Image Creator to illustrate album artwork distributed on platforms like Spotify, Deezer, etc.?

Can I use these same images to create videos for YouTube, TikTok, etc.?

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Based on Microsoft’s Bing Image Creator and Bing Video Creator Terms of Use, Microsoft says it does not claim ownership of the prompts or creations you generate. However, that does not automatically mean every image is cleared for commercial use.

You are still responsible for how you use the image. Microsoft also says the creations may not be unique, and Microsoft does not guarantee that the generated content will not infringe someone else’s rights.

So for album artwork on Spotify, Deezer, YouTube, TikTok, or similar platforms, the safest answer is: you may use it only if your use follows the Bing terms, applicable law, and the rules of the platform where you upload it.

**Be careful if the image includes: **recognizable people, logos, brands, copyrighted characters, album covers, celebrity likenesses, or the style/name of a living artist.

To confirm, did you create the image only from your own text prompt, or did you upload/reference another image, artist, brand, or person?
