Hi support team,

I'm a bootstrapped founder building Calltura (calltura.com), an AI

voice receptionist for UK service businesses. We just received

$1,100 in AWS Activate credits and are now trying to activate the

Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub $1,000 Azure credit offer.

When I click through signup.azure.com/signup?offer=MS-AZR-0036P,

the system shows "You're not eligible for an Azure free account"

after I complete MFA setup.

Account: ******@outlook.com

Session ID: aec65d62-f07e-4372-9a66-5011b4046cde

Date/time of attempt: 6/25/2026 7:38:16 PM UTC

Country of residence: Pakistan (UK Ltd incorporation pending)

Target market: United Kingdom

Could you manually review my account and enable the credit? I can

provide any additional verification needed (passport, AWS Activate

approval email, etc.).

Thank you,

Anas

The "You're not eligible for an Azure free account" message during activation of the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub offer is a known Azure sign-up error. The documented resolution path is:

    1. Verify all Azure account profile details
      • Ensure the contact email address, street address, and telephone number entered during Azure sign-up are correct.
      • Confirm that the country/region selected in the profile and billing address is accurate and matches the actual billing address. The country/region cannot be changed later.
    2. Check credit card and account uniqueness
      • Make sure the credit card information (cardholder name, number, expiry, CVV, billing address) is entered correctly.
      • Confirm that there is not already another Microsoft account using the same identity and payment information for an Azure subscription. Duplicate use of the same information can trigger eligibility errors.
    3. Use the correct activation path for Microsoft for Startups
      • If enrollment in Microsoft for Startups was before May 29, 2026, credits must be activated via the Microsoft for Startups portal:
        1. Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal.
        2. Select Activate Azure.
        3. Link the Microsoft account and complete Azure sign-up with a payment method.
      • If enrollment was on or after May 29, 2026, activation is done directly through the Azure portal using the "Build your startup" dashboard and the Unlock $1,000 in Azure credits — Sign up flow.
    4. If the error persists, contact startup support
      • For "You aren't eligible for an Azure subscription" or "You aren't eligible for this offer" errors that continue after verifying profile and payment details, the guidance is to contact Microsoft for Startups support via the portal:
      • In the request, include:
        • The Microsoft account email used for activation.
        • The session ID and timestamp of the failed attempt.
        • Country of residence and any supporting documentation (such as program approval emails) as requested.
    5. After successful activation, confirm credits and subscriptions
      • Sign in to the Azure portal with the same Microsoft account (MSA) used to activate the offer.
      • Navigate to Cost ManagementBillingPayment methods to confirm that the sponsorship credits are visible under the billing account.
      • Go to SubscriptionsAdd, select the billing account where the credits are allocated, and create subscriptions. All subscriptions under that billing account can use the sponsorship credits.

If activation is not completed within 90 days of accepting the program agreement, the offer expires and reapplication to the program is required.
