Good day Lyn
Windows 365 Reserve is designed to let IT pre‑allocate Cloud PCs so they’re ready to go when users need them, but it doesn’t currently allow contractors to “self‑provision” on demand without IT involvement. In practice, you’d configure Windows 365 provisioning policies and assign licenses up front, so when a seasonal worker signs in through the Windows App, their Cloud PC spins up automatically with the right settings. That means IT’s role is more about setting the guardrails once, not manually touching each request. For unpredictable staffing, you can keep a pool of reserved Cloud PCs licensed and waiting, then users just log in and get a desktop instantly no ticket needed. This approach balances flexibility with control, and still keeps security and compliance in check. If you want true “self‑service” provisioning, that’s not available today, but the reserve model is the closest fit and minimizes overhead.
