Hello

i m using windows 11 home edition with single language. i didn't see the weather and more on my lock screen on my hp laptop. pls tell me how to fix this problem.

Hello,

Could you please check if this feature works normally on a new local user profile?

Click Windows + R, type netplwiz, and click Ok.

Select Add > Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended) > Local account.

Create a temporary username and password.

Sign out and sign in to the newly created local user profile.

Then, go to Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen > Lock screen widgets .

See if you can enable widgets there.

Hi,

It is good to know that you Weather and more is working on new local user profile. This indicates that your old user profile might be corrupted. So, here's what you have to do -

Go back to your old user profile.

Open Netplwiz, select the new user profile, click Properties, and in the group membership tab, make the new one an Administrator, then click OK.

Then go to Local disk C:/Users /Your old user profile.

Copy all the folders from the Old user profile to the new user profile.

Once transferred, sign out and sign in to the newly created local user profile.

See if all the files and documents are accessible there.

Then, open netplwiz from the new user profile and delete the old profile.

Next, go to Settings > Accounts > Your info, then select 'Sign in with your Microsoft account instead'.

That's it, now you've switched to the new user profile.

Is the screen appearing black?

Did you select Windows spotlight or Picture for your lock screen?

If it still doesn’t work, try installing the Dynamic Theme app from the Microsoft Store. Then, set it as the wallpaper for your device’s lock screen.

Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
Enable Widgets toggle.
Click +Add Widget.
Add the Weather widget on the lock screen.

It appears to be that your device is running the latest version of Windows 11. Here's what you can try to resolve the issue-

Run the System File Checker Utility scan -

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth sfc /scannow

Once completed, restart your computer and see if you can customize the lock screen widgets.

If you are still having issues,

Go to Start > Settings > System > Recovery > Fix Problems using Windows update > Reinstall now.

This will download the repair version of the existing 25H2 version on your device.

Install the repair version and see if it fixes the issue.
