Deploying AKS on Azure Stack HCI with error "Fethcing billing information for this setup failed" and "kubeconfig-mgmt returned a non zero exit code 1"

I am deploying worker nodes of AKS on Azure Stack HCI.
It takes quite a long time to wait for the required VMs to deploy and packages to download.
I have accidentally clicked to another page and not able to return to the last steps now.
I will get the error "Fethcing billing information for this setup failed" and "kubeconfig-mgmt returned a non zero exit code 1" on the WAC Azure Kubernetes Service page.

It is already over 6 hours now. How can I know whether the deployment is still in progress or not?
If it is incomplete deployment, how can I rollback or continue the deployment?
Thank you.

Hey - the PS version i was meaning, was the akshci module version - apologies I wasn't clear.

    • Can you close all windows, and retry with WAC, but not add to Arc as part of the WAC wizard?
    • If that fails, can you create with PowerShell directly, and then try to add to Arc after the cluster has been created?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Hey - please could you provide more info about your environment, especially the hardware/storage you're using?

Also, can you confirm that both the WAC extension is the latest, and the PowerShell version is also up to date (1.1.11).

    Thanks!

It may have chance to get disconnected, accidentally leave the page or wait infinitely if using WAC for some long or intense process such as AKS.
The workload cluster's load balancer and control panel VMs are deployed but I found that there is no node pool and worker nodes.
I try to use PowerShell deploy node pool and worker nodes and the worker nodes VMs are on the WAC VM list now.
    Thanks.

Thanks for your continued efforts here - the impact of running in a nested environment (especially those that are not all-flash) can incur a performance penalty that can cause certain processes to be slower, hit timeouts etc, so it may have just been a transient issue. Please keep us posted if it happens again.

Also, please update your PowerShell (akshci module) to 1.1.11 - there was a bug in 1.1.9 that we caught and fixed.

    Thanks!
    Matt
