AZ-500 is a certification exam; the completed certification should appear in the Microsoft Learn / Certification Dashboard. If it is missing, use these checks and next steps based on the documented guidance:

1. Confirm the certification was actually earned
   Passing an exam does not always mean a certification was granted. Some certifications require multiple exams or additional active certifications. Verify the credential requirements on the certification or exam details pages to ensure all requirements for the AZ-500-based certification were met.
2. Verify the correct Learn profile and login account
   Missing certifications are often due to signing in with a different account than the one used when registering for or taking the exam.
   • Make sure the correct Microsoft Learn profile is being used.
   • If multiple Learn profiles or login accounts exist (work, school, personal), sign out and try each account that might have been used to register for AZ-500.
   • Check which email received the original “congratulations” message; that contact email indicates which profile the certification is associated with. If selecting the profile link from that email does not show the certification, it may be under another profile.
3. Check for legacy or retired certification status
   Some older certifications are retired and may move between sections of the transcript. However, if a certification was earned before retirement, it remains on the transcript (Active or Historical) even after retirement. If AZ-500 was part of a retired certification, it should still appear on the transcript if it was earned and not expired.
4. Confirm it is not a course or non-cert credential
   Course completions or Learn modules/paths only provide badges/trophies, not certification certificates. Ensure the expectation is for a Microsoft Certification (based on AZ-500), not a course completion.
5. Contact Microsoft Credentials Support if still missing
   If the AZ-500-based certification still does not appear after confirming requirements and checking all possible accounts, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for investigation and correction of missing credentials.
