401 Error when trying to login to Outlook.com or outlook.live.com

Question

When I try to log into outlook.com or outlook.live.com I receive a 401 error code (see below). I've already performed the following steps:

• Tried on multilple devices (iphone, mac, pc)
• Cleared cache, cookies, etc
• Tried on multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome, Brave)
  • Also tried in Private Mode on all
• Verified I was not on VPN
• Waited a total of 8 hours
• Submitted a recover account request but i was told I didn't provide enough info. I provided everything requested and even added extra fields

Because I can't log into outlook.live.com I cannot contact anyone who can provide support. I believe this is a server side issue but without being able to contact support, I'm unable to verify. Any ideas on next steps?

Is this a personal account, or an organization account?

Have you tried a different network? I saw you tried different devices, just want to make sure they are not all on the same Wifi.

If this is personal account, see if you can sign into https://account.live.com

If this is organization, see if you can sign into https://myaccount.microsoft.com
