how to a retrieve a deleted word document if it isnt connected to my one drive?

I deleted a document that i can find in my word account history but cannot open it as it says its been deleted. how can i get it back

    Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    Did you check your desktop's Recycle Bin to see if you can recover the document there?

    Alternatively, Open Microsoft Word.

    Select File > Info > Manage Document > Recover Unsaved document.

    See if you can recover the document from there.


    Then, check the temp folder -

    Click Windows + R key, type %temp% and click Ok.

    Then, check the temporary files. (Look for the files modified around the date/time you were working on)

    Look for file types - WRLxxx.tmp or WRDxxxx.tmp or .asd

    Copy the file to the Desktop, rename it to .docx, and try opening it.
