Only Global Administrator is locked out due to Microsoft Authenticator MFA

Question

The only Global Administrator of our Microsoft 365 tenant is locked out due to Microsoft Authenticator MFA. We cannot access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. There are no other Global Administrators. Could a Microsoft moderator please advise how to proceed or escalate this case to the Microsoft Data Protection Team?

Hi,

Ideally you should have another account as a backup in case the primary account have issues, it is known as breakfix account. However in this instance if you are the only admin of the tenant the only way to recover is to call up global numbers and provide the ownership and identity proof of the tenant that you own it.
