The PL-300 exam result is associated with a Microsoft Learn profile, but it is likely under a different login account than the one currently used. Exams and certifications are tied to the Learn profile used at registration, and when multiple profiles exist, the wrong one may be in use.
To resolve this and get the PL-300 certification to appear:
- Confirm the correct Learn profile
- Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser.
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn using every login account that might have been used when registering for PL-300 (for example, personal Microsoft account and any work or school accounts).
- After each sign-in, open the Credentials area of the Learn profile and check if the PL-300 exam/certification appears.
- Check the email used for the exam
- The congratulations email is sent to the Contact Email configured in the Learn profile and may not match the login account.
- If selecting the profile link in that email shows a different Learn profile than the one normally used, that indicates multiple profiles.
- Merge duplicate Learn profiles
- If the exam appears under a different Learn profile than the primary one, add the login accounts to a single profile so they can be merged:
- Sign in to the Learn profile that should become the primary profile.
- Go to Learn profile settings and open Account Management.
- Choose Add login account and sign in with the other login account that has the PL-300 exam.
- If that account is associated with another Learn profile, this will trigger a profile merge.
- When profiles are merged:
- All learning progress and certification data from both profiles are combined into one.
- All login accounts remain usable to sign in.
- The merge is permanent and cannot be undone.
- If the exam appears under a different Learn profile than the primary one, add the login accounts to a single profile so they can be merged:
- If the certification is still missing
- If none of the login accounts show the PL-300 exam or certification, or if there are issues merging profiles (for example, hitting the limit of work/school accounts), submit a case to Microsoft Credentials Support:
- Go to the online support request page for Microsoft Credentials.
- Ensure Product family = Learning and Product or Service = Microsoft Credentials.
- Select the closest category, choose Professional No Charge, and provide location and time zone.
- Describe the issue, include the Learn Username from Learn profile settings, and attach screenshots of the order details and the congratulations email.
- Submit the case and monitor email for responses from Credentials Support.
- If none of the login accounts show the PL-300 exam or certification, or if there are issues merging profiles (for example, hitting the limit of work/school accounts), submit a case to Microsoft Credentials Support:
Support can then locate the correct profile, associate the PL-300 result, and, if needed, assist with profile merge beyond what can be done self-service.
